The Royal City of Loches is a 9th-century fortified town and castle in France's Loire Valley. Famous for its massive square keep, the castle dominates the town of Loches. In 1985, it was converted into a museum and contains one of the most extensive collections of medieval armor in France.

Sur un site magnifique, les hauts bâtiments de la cité nous font voir très concrètement la vie dans deux périodes différentes mais également intéressantes. Les points de vue depuis le donjon sont vertigineux; les pièces chargées d'histoire du logis royal valent le détour.
