Important Information Regarding the Venice Access Charge
On some days between April 18 and July 27, 2025, the City of Venice has introduced the Venice Access Charge. On these dates, the City of Venice will require every visitor in Venice to pay an access fee, unless otherwise exempted. For dates, payment methods, exemptions and and all other information you can visit cda.ve.it.
Those who are subject to this levy are excursion tourists visiting the ancient city (smaller islands are excluded from the Levy), between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The value of the access fee is €5 daily if paid by the fourth last day before the day of access, and €10 daily if paid after the fourth last day before the day of access, for each day of access.
Please note: People staying in one of the accommodations in the Venice municipal area do not have to pay the Access Fee, but they still have to register for the relevant exemption on cda.ve.it.
