It was so great! I went by myself (21 year old) and it was so peaceful and gorgeous, and the lady that checked me in was so helpful and sweet. It was overall an amazing afternoon there!

Flamingo Gardens werd in 1927 opgericht als een gewone citrusboomgaard en herbergt nu meer dan 3000 plantensoorten en een wildreservaat. De tuinen liggen net ten westen van Fort Lauderdale in Zuid-Florida en omringen het historische huis van de familie Wray, nu een museum dat toegankelijk is voor het publiek. Op een terrein van 24 hectare kunnen bezoekers tropisch regenwoud en wetlands verkennen, de grootste bomen van Florida bewonderen, en natuurlijk genieten van het gezelschap van flamingo's.
