Living in New York, I have incurred multiple visits to the USS Intreprid. The USS Hornet is equally as impressive a ship but, it is simply a much more thorough museum-level vist that educates you on much more than a few aircraft that adorn the ship's deck. The USS Hornet provides in-depth details on the lifestyle that US Sailors endured during the varying wars that it participated in. There are significantly more areas to peruse throughout the "boat". I'm a Marine and I know it upsets Navy folks when I say boat... LOL. This visit highlighted a very fun trip out West and was worth much more than the entry fees. Go visit the USS Hornet as it is a wonderful American History experience to share with your family and friends.

It was a fun day and excellent choice to take someone on a first date.
