The Art of Drinking is an exhibition about the history of drinking across cultures. It features over 2,000 drinking vessels dating back to as early as 6,000 BC. This private collection is the largest of its kind in Portugal and one of the few like it in the world.
The items on display were used in daily life and in ceremonies, and some belonged to emperors, popes, and princes. The exhibition shows how drinking practices have evolved from ancient times through the Roman Empire, the Industrial Revolution, and into today.
